Jan Hendrik Neidert studied architecture at Bauhaus University Weimar, the Berlin University of the Arts (UdK), and TU Delft (NL). During his studies he gained practical experience in New York and Berlin and after graduating, he worked as an architect in Barcelona. From there, he turned to the theater and has since worked as a stage and costume designer in drama and musical theater. His work has taken him to the Münchner Kammerspiele, Deutsche Oper am Rhein, the state theaters in Stuttgart, Nuremberg, Wiesbaden, Braunschweig, Oldenburg, Saarbrücken, Augsburg and Darmstadt, the Grillo Theater in Essen, and numerous other Theaters, including the Berliner Ensemble and those in Heidelberg, Salzburg, and Leipzig.

In 2023, he completed the advanced studies program "Theater- and Musicmanagement" at LMU München.
